Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Report

Finally, spring is here! I am so done with winter and I couldn't be happier that spring time is here. I can't wait for the warmer weather and for all the spring collections to hit stores. I loved all the trends coming off the runways for this season so I thought I would share my top 5 fave trends.

Sheer

The spring/summer 2018 collections featured sheer material worn over top of bike shorts, bustiers, undergarments, or nothing at all. This look is perfect for a night out or even at a festival when it's so hot you barely want to wear anything at all.

Crayola Brights

Reds, Purples, Yellows, Blues, Pinks, and Greens showered the runways for this season in types of silhouettes from form-fitting to loose and free. Go head-to-toe in one bright colour or mix and clash different brights for fun, fresh take on this trend.

Fringing

This is probably my favourite trend of the season because it is so versatile. You can channel Coachella vibes with a fringe top, denim cutoffs, ankle booties, and a wide brim, felt hat. For a more polished look, sport a fringe pencil skirt with a crisp white blouse, red pointed pumps, and a top handle bag.

Pastels

I know what you're thinking, pastels for spring? How typical. But it doesn't have to be with unexpected tailoring and sharp silhouettes. Try a monochromatic ensemble in a pistachio green suit or a millennial pink bodycon dress with sculpted shoulders. I know I'll definitely be copping a lavender suit this season.

Power Shorts

Power shorts are the new staple item for this season and can be worn anywhere from the office to a night out. Whether you go micro mini or to the knee, you're sure to make a statement with some kickass shorts.
