Ixtapa 2018

After finally getting a new phone & sorting through all my photos, that have been saved despite my phone breaking in the middle of the trip, I'm finally creating a blogpost about my trip to Ixtapa, Guerrero in Mexico. My boyfriend & I stayed at Club Med Ixtapa Pacific for 9 days to visit our friend. It was the best vacation I have ever experienced & am excited to share some memories with you.

Club Med has a different theme every night & this was a white dinner that took place on a large grass field that overlooked the water.

Charlotte is a flying trapeze/circus teacher & performer at Club Med so I had to try out the flying trapeze class while she was teaching it. It was pretty damn nerve-racking, but a lot of fun and definitely worth trying a few times.

The waves were so massive some days they would knock us over when we were chilling on a donut floatie. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try out surfing, but that is definitely on my list next time.

First time ever seeing wild crocs! They did not move a muscle once and were chilling with the turtles in the water.

The water on Coral Beach on Ixtapa Island was super warm and crystal clear. You could see a bunch of black & white coral in the white. I found a few small white pieces of coral and some seashells to take home.

Adam's Aunt is from a place very close to Ixtapa and she got me this Multi-coloured Striped Beach Bag from there so I thought it would be appropriate to bring on this trip.

Always have a drink in my hand when I'm at an all-inclusive resort.

Sunset at Dinner

Everyday was so warm, I never needed to wear a sweater.

Adam & I took a sailing class this day and won a sports award for it.

Solo paddle-boarding expedition. This was the first time I ever fell in the water while paddle-boarding because the waves were so strong. I broke my choker when I fell in so I do not recommend wearing jewelry while doing this activity.

This is a parrot, named Coco, that was just chilling on a table in a restaurant on the beach on Las Gatas Island. 

My favourite day during this trip was when Charlotte had a day off and she took Adam and I on an adventure. We took a taxi from our resort to Zihua and then a guy drove us on his speed boat to Las Gatas Island. We went to a restaurant called Chez Arnoldo ( a little bit spoken english) which was a restaurant literally in the sand on the beach. The restaurant owner was super nice and allowed us to use his snorkelling equipment for free. There was always people trying to sell us stuff on the beach, so after snorkeling I bought a silver ring and got my hair braided in corn rows by a Mexican lady. Adam was drinking right out of a coconut and Charlotte had an octopus salad. After that, we took another speed boat to another part of Zihua and then took a taxi to restaurant that had an infinity pool in it.
