Riviera Maya 2019
A group of friends & I travelled to Riviera Maya in Mexico in July for my best friends wedding. It was such a magical day. It was my first time being in a wedding party, let alone being maid of honour so preparing a speech was a little stressful. It took place right on the beach & everything about the day was beautiful. Being able to witness & be apart of my best friends wedding is something I will remember forever.
Some other exciting moments on this trip were going to a cenote, which is a natural rock formation in a fresh water hole. It was super humid the entire time so my twin & I decided to check out a cenote which was really refreshing. It was about a 2 minute drive from our resort so it was really convenient. It was a little crowded at the beginning, but the crowds died down after a while.
Another adventure we embarked on was an excursion to Isla Mujeres. A group of five of us took a shuttle bus up to Cancun & then sailed to the island on Catamaran where they served us margaritas & a gourmet lunch. Halfway through the boat ride we stopped for snorkeling & paddle boarding in open water. When we got to Isla Mujeres we rented a golf cart & ripped around the island for an hour. When we returned from driving around the island on golf cart we went to a restaurant right on the beach & indulged in some nachos & margaritas. They were probably the best nachos I have ever had. We went back onto the luxury sailboat to head back to Cancun during sunset.
