S/S 2020 Swim

Today I'm going to sharing my top 3 favourite swimwear trends for this spring/summer 2020 season. Though we've had a rough start to summer, the weather is finally starting to heat up, which means it's time to break out the swimwear & hit the water. Whether you're going to a pool party, a lake, a beach, or on a boat, you can wear any of these trends to any occasion as long as you style them appropriately.

Cutouts

I have been on the hunt for the perfect cutout swimsuit since I lost mine this winter in Harrison Hot Springs. I was looking at some swimwear on Zaful & found this pink & white reversible cut-out one piece suit. I love that it's reversible because it's like buying two swimwear suits for the price of one. One side has a seersucker striped print & the other side is a polka-dot print. I was hesitant to buy a swimsuit online at first because I've never bought any clothing online before, but I made sure to look at the photo's & reviews of this swimsuit before I purchased it to see how it would look on my body type. When it arrived, I was very pleased with the fit of the suit & felt like it covered enough of my stomach, but still showed a good amount of cleavage which is exactly what I wanted.

Tie-Dye

Another huge trend in the swimwear category for this season is tie-dye. It's such a fun summer print and reminds me of California. There's so many great options in stores right now, but if you're feeling crafty, try making a DIY tie-dye swimsuit for yourself. This is a black and white one-piece from Natasha Tonic. Because this is a neutral piece, don't be afraid to go crazy with colours when styling this look. I would style this one-piece with a hot pink sarong skirt, neon orange bucket hat, blue graphite sunglasses, and chunky whit flatform sandals.

Rope Detail

My 3rd fave swimwear trend this spring/summer season is rope detailing. Whether it's a piece of rope tied around the waist or used as straps, rope details are such a nautical vibe for swimwear. I love the classic, retro look and it reminds me of being out at sea. This would be such a perfect look for a day of sailing or cruising along on a speedboat. This nude & black striped, rope detail one-piece is from Same LA. I would style this swimsuit with a straw hat, a navy canvas beach tote, black cat-eye sunglasses, and tan strappy espadrille sandals.
