Lingerie is such a fun thing to incorporate into your wardrobe & can really take your look to the next level. Some might think that wearing lingerie outside the bedroom might be scandalous but with these 3 tips, you'll look sexy & sophisticated without being controversial. 

1. Layering is key 

If you're styling something see-through such as this sheer corset bustier that I'm wearing here or a lace bra-lette you're going to want to layer it up. Wearing a shirt underneath or over top, like the button down I'm wearing here, will give you an appropriate amount of coverage. You can also try layering a blazer over top of sheer bustiers or bra-lettes.

2. Keep it casual

When wearing boudoir inspired pieces try to keep the rest of your look casual for a cool high-low feel. For instance, styling a pair of vintage mom jeans with silky camisoles or tight bustiers gives you an effortless cool edge. If you're wearing a sexy slip dress, try pairing it with a cozy cardigan, a plaid shirt and combat boots for a 90's vibe. You could even style a corset or bra top with a pair of joggers and chunky trainers for a sportier ensemble.

3. Have fun with colour 

Most people will wear black lingerie in the bedroom, but if you're taking this trend to the street, why not experiment with a fun colour palette? Wearing an earthy tone such as a burgundy or a jewel tone such as emerald green looks great in the fall or winter. Pastels like baby blue or pale pink are some nice shades to wear in spring or summer.
