Spring/Summer 2020 Trend Report

Spring is just around the corner so I wanted to share with you my top fave trends for Spring/Summer 2020. 

What Lies Beneath

 Sheer fabrics & materials were utilised on so many different runways this season whether they were for tops, dresses, or skirts. If you're feeling daring, you can wear these pieces with nothing underneath or with a bra or panties. To keep this look a little less revealing try styling a tank top over a sheer blouse or dress or biker shorts underneath a sheer skirt or dress.

Well-Vested

If you're going to invest in a new trend this season, make it a vest. They are such a versatile piece that can work for any occasion and it is such a great layering item in a wardrobe that can be worn across all seasons. Whether you want to wear a sweater vest like at Louis Vuitton or an open-style vest like at Celine, you'll be the best-dressed in the room.

Highlighter Reel

Neon hues are back this season and cooler than ever. In voluminous silhouettes and structural tailoring, these bright shades popped up all over the runways in highlighter yellow, lime green. hot pink, and tangerine orange. If you're feeling adventurous, try sporting 2 neon shades at once for a edgy take on the trend.

 En-Trenched

Trench coats are a classic piece that will never go out of style, but this season these staple items were taken to new levels. At Balenciaga, we saw trenches in an Easter-egg, pastel blue colour and strong shoulders. At Rejina Pyo, the trenches had a disco collar and a contrasting seam. Whether, the trenches have a relaxed or structured silhouette or come in an unexpected colour, invest on a different take on a trench this season.

Bra-Top Craze

Bralettes, bustiers, crop tops, whatever you want to call them, they were seen all over the Spring/Summer 2020 runways. Styled with a long flowing skirt keeps things in proportion, but you could also wear these revealing tops with a pair of flared trousers or jeans. As the temperatures rise, you'll be glad this piece is back in style.
